Additional Lost Boys (Yaoi) Information

A boy named Air suddenly appears at Mizuki's window one evening, forcibly transporting him to Neverland. Having grown up most of his life without his own father, Mizuki wants nothing to do with surrogate fatherhood. Unfortunately, stuck without a way out of Neverland, he has little choice but to stay. As he spends time with Air, however, Mizuki is gradually charmed by his boyish innocence, and the two fall in love. In the end, Mizuki decides to return to the real world to reunite with his estranged father, but tells Air that he will always leave the window open for him.

What Customers Say About Lost Boys (Yaoi):

The answer would be NO. To me, Lost Boys is a retelling of Peter Pan with an adult male thrown in instead of Wendy and her two brothers. The only interesting part is wondering what the exact nature of the Captain's and First Mate's relationship is.

It was cute. And funny especially with Mizuki's method of rescuing Air & the interaction between the pirates and his first mate.

Main reason being I read "Lost Boys" straight after "Same Cell Organism", which is so much better. The pirates seem more interesting but they were never developed.

It is an average shounen-ai, with a plot based loosely on Peter Pan and the lost boys with watered down boys' love. I have a tendency to reread my mangas but "Lost Boys" fails to qualify.

are a bit too dull for my taste. Air (Peter Pan).

and Mizuki(Wendy but a boy). The mangaka try to give hints of Yaoi in a short story of the Captain and his first officer, but this was just too short and comical to be effective.Overall "Lost Boys" fell short.

For those of you into Shounen-ai, I recommend "Same Cell Organism" instead.

Yes, there is a different between BL and yaoi. The art gets five stars. There are a few short kisses, but other than that the story really focuses on the relationship between the two main characters building up and becoming strong. Like the reviewer before me has said, this manga isn't yaoi. It just isn't as focused as some people might like. There is only one graphic part near the end of the book that does not come to a climax (hah, bad pun, I know). Yaoi means that the manga includes graphic sex between two men, while BL has no sex, but focuses on the relationship between two men. The relationship in the story goes a little slow though, and might not suit everyone's tastes.

But the story itself, as just a BL, is rather cute. The art, for a BL manga, is very very nice (the quality of BL manga has been going downhill lately, so it's good to see something that looks so good and clean as this). I thought the proclomation of love was a little harried and could have been done just a little better, but. This story is something I think a majority of BL fans will like. The characters are loveable though, and the plot easy to follow.I recommend it.

A twist on the Peter Pan story that's cute and light-hearted, good for a beach-read. The artwork was fair, the characters lovable. However, it's much more like light shounen-ai than actual yaoi - the main story itself has nothing dirtier than a few kisses (which was rather disappointing.). There's a small side-story at the end about the pirates which borders on true yaoi; that is, until they're interrupted, and it makes you want to smack your head against the closest wall in frustration. So buy it for the light-hearted cuteness factor and (what I thought) was a nice take on the Peter Pan story, but if you're searching for something hard-core, or even soft-core, then look elsewhere.
